Chuba Akpom cannot do anything wrong after he fired his 17th goal in the English Championship season with Middlesbrough boss again showering praise on the former Arsenal striker.
On Wednesday night,‘Boro fought back from a goal down to beat second-placed Sheffield United 3-1 with Akpom again among the goals.
It was the fourth straight win by ‘Boro.
Manager Michael Carrick was again full of praise for the Nigerian striker, who has also netted twice in the FA Cup.
“I knew Chuba is talented and I just wanted him to play a position we felt suited him, that loose position where he’s not up against centre-backs,” he said.
“He’s in a great place, you can see that.
“When you’re confident things come freely and you have that much more time on the ball.”
