The Flying Eagles will bring to an end the first phase of their training camp for the U20 AFCON Saturday when they test their readiness against NPFL club Lobi Stars.
The country’s U20 team will also take on NPFL clubs Nasarawa United and Wikki Tourists from Thursday as they battle tougher opposition after they dispatched academies in the past two weeks.
The Flying Eagles have scored 35 goals and conceded one in the six test matches they have played thus far.
The matches are Paul Esports (5-0), Keffi Selected (7-0), Capital City (5-0), AS Roma Academy (2-0), AA Zaura Boys (8-1) and Kickers Academy (8-0).
Team officials informed SCORENigeria that the squad will return to camp on January 6 after the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Coach Ladan Bosso has already overhauled the team who won the WAFU B qualifiers in Niger earlier this year by picking several new players.
The 2023 U20 AFCON will be played in Egypt between February 18 and March 12 with the top four teams advancing to the U20 World Cup in Indonesia in May.
