His goal Saturday in Bergamo saw him over take Simy Nwankwo, who netted a total 31 goals in Serie A.
Obafemi Martins scored a total of 28 goals for Inter Milan.
Osimhen scored 14 goals last season and 10 goals in his debut season and has so far fired eight goals in nine appearances and delivered two assists this term.
He is the leading scorer in Italy thus far, a goal ahead of Marco Arnautovic of Bologna, while Ademola Lookman leads several other players on six goals.
Osimhen himself celebrated the big win by Napoli at Atalanta.
