Dessers, who joined US Cremonese in the summer, drew the promoted team level in the 47th minute.
However, Napoli fought back to win 4-1 late on and topple Atalanta from the summit of Serie A.
Atalanta took temporary leadership of the Italian top flight earlier today when they drew 2-2 at Udinese.
But Napoli big win at Cremonese has propelled back to the top of the standings with 23 points, two points ahead of Atalanta.
