Slavia Praha coach Jindrich Tripisovsky has hailed Peter Olayinka for his consistency since he joined the Czech champions four years ago.
The coach said though Olayinka was not a big-name when he arrived from Belgium, he has since proved to be prolific scorer and hungry to succeed.
“Most of all, I want to congratulate him, it’s a respectable achievement,” the Slavia Praha coach in reference to Olayinka emerging as the team’s all-time leading scorer in Europe.
“Maybe he is the last Mohican, along with Standa Tecla and Bóra, from the first season we were here.
“The players revolve around him, his arrival was not easy at all. He cost a lot of money, he was a player from Belgium to the Czech league, and he didn’t have such a big name.
“I am very happy that he has maintained his performance and his hunger, his numbers are respectable in the four years he has been here. It shows he’s exceptional, I’m glad that he maintains a consistent performance, without any big fluctuations.
“I congratulate him, we are very happy for that, he was one of the first players we brought into the squad.”
