Kelechi Nwakali has said he hopes to post his best season ever at Spanish second division side SD Ponferradina.
Nwakali has joined Ponferradina after his contract at another Segunda Division side Huesca was terminated.
“I will try to do my best so that the season is the best it can be,” he vowed.
“We will step up on our pre-season preparations so that we will be ready when the new season begins on August 15.”
The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles skipper said he is a versatile player who could play in any position in midfield.
Nwakali has previously been on the books of Arsenal and FC Porto.
