Anthony Nwakaeme has won his first championship in Turkey after his club Trabzonspor forced Antalyaspor to a 2-2 draw Saturday.
It was Trabzonspor’s seventh league title and their first championship since the 1983/84 season.
Saturday’s home draw saw them record an unassailable 77 points with three rounds of matches to the end of the Turkish Sup Lig.
Nwakaeme has been sensational this season.
He scored 11 goals, four more than he netted last season.
However, the 33-year-old forward could well join rivals Fenerbache as a free agent as his contract with Trabzonspor will end this summer.
