The agent of Akinkunmi Amoo and the player’s former club Hammarby have been sanctioned by the Swedish FA over the transfer of Amoo from Nigeria.
The Swedish FA fined Hammarby SEK 350,000 (about $35,000) for paying agency commission to an agent, Patrick Mork, for the transfer of Amoo, who was then a minor and so a breach in transfer protocol.
Mork himself has been banned as an agent for a year till March 31, 2023.
Amoo was transferred from the Nigerian club Sidos FC in the summer of 2020.
Both Hammarby and Mork said they will appeal the sanctions.
Sports director of Hammarby Jesper Jansson said: “We do not share the disciplinary committee’s view, and our lawyers are reviewing the case.
“We will most likely appeal the decision.”
