President Muhammadu Buhari has charged the Super Eagles to keep on winning at the AFCON in Cameroon.
President Buhari told the Eagles via a video link Sunday morning that the nation is proud and behind the team to go all the way and win a fourth AFCON title.
He commended the Nigerian coaches who have qualified the team to the AFCON Round of 16 and made special mention of star forwards Moses Simon and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Coach Augustine Eguavoen said the team are excited the President took time to speak to them and promised that this will further boost their morale against Tunisia later tonight.
“We’re energised and promise to continue to fly the country’s flag and do Nigeria proud in Cameroon,” Eguavoen said.
