Taiwo Awoniyi has fired his ninth goal in the German Bundesliga for Union Berlin to shoot to fourth place on the table courtesy of a 2-1 win at RB Leipzig.
Awoniyi got Union off to a flying start as early as the sixth minute when he popped up at the far post to tap home.
The striker is now only behind Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich, 14 goals) and earling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund, 10 goals) in the goals race in Germany.
Union Berlin have recorded 23 points in 14 matches, eight points behind leaders and champions Bayern.
