Gernot Rohr has a full house of Super Eagles and he has now said they will be gunning for victory tomorrow against Liberia in Morocco to take a big step towards qualification to the final playoffs of the 2022 World Cup.
Rohr is excited that injured stars Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze have all returned to the fold.
His long-term assistant Salisu Yusuf has also rejoined the squad since the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
“We are happy to have the injured players, who couldn’t come in the last matches, return. Ndidi is here, Iwobi is back and Chukwueze, so as it is now, we have a very full squad as well as the return of striker Odion Ighalo,” Rohr said.
“I am also happy to see Ighalo and my assistant, Salisu Yusuf, return to the squad.”
However, Ighalo is likely to start from the bench after reporting late to the Moroccan camp.
The Super Eagles will consolidate their top spot in Group C with victory against the Lone Star tomorrow.
