West Ham boss David Moyes has said the Premier League club did not consider a move for Paul Onuachu this past summer.
There were speculations in a section of the media that West Ham wanted to sign the Genk striker.
However, Moyes has now shot down such talk.
“I don’t want to disappoint you in any way, but he (Onuachu) wasn’t someone we really had in any consideration.
“Quite often at West Ham we are linked with so many players.
“I appreciate the player because I have watched him recently, but he wasn’t one of our targets planned for the summer time.”
West Ham have again been linked with the giant striker ahead of the January transfer window.
West Ham welcome the Belgian cup holders tonight in continuation of the UEFA Europa League.
The London Hammers lead the group with six points fom two matches, while Genk are third on three points.
