Salisu Yusuf has been re-appointed first assistant to Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr and he will also head the country’s home-based national team.
Officials said Salisu’s return was on the recommendation of the NFF technical department, according to General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi.
The re-appointment takes effect from November 1, 2021.
The former Enyimba and Enugu Rangers coach lost his previous post when he was banned for collecting cash from the undercover journalists posing as agents.
The Eagles qualified for the 2019 AFCON and featured at the 2018 World Cup with Yusuf as Rohr’s assistant.
Many believed that the Eagles were more compact and played as a team with Yusuf by the sidelines.
The former midfielder also led the home-based Eagles to play in the final of the 2017 CHAN in Morocco.
