Salernitana coach has said he hopes striker Simeon Nwankwo steps to lift the promoted team in Serie A after a difficult start.
Salernitana only have a point from six matches and already look like making a prompt return to the lower league by the end of the season.
However, they will be counting on the goals of ‘Simy’, who netted 20 goals in Serie A last season with Crotone, to help them to stay up.
The Super Eagles striker has yet to score for his new team, though.
Salernitana coach Fabrizo Castori said he expects more from him.
“He knows well that he must improve,” he said.
“Together we will bring him back in the best conditions to allow him to do what he knows.”
