Victor Osimhen scored his fourth goal in three Serie A games as well as caused a penalty for Napoli to defeat Cagliari 2-0 and return to the top of the table.
Osimhen opened scoring in the 11th minute for the home team when he clinically finished off a great team goal.
The Super Eagles striker then made the game safe when he was brought down inside the box by 35-year-old Uruguay defender Godin and Napoli put away the resultant penalty.
“Victor! Victor!!” sang the appreciative Napoli fans, when he was later replaced.
Interestingly, Osimhen also scored against the same team last season in a 1-1 draw.
Last season, he netted 10 goals in the league.
Napoli, who failed to make the Top-4 last season, thus regained the leadership of Serie A with a perfect 18 points from six matches.
They are two points clear of closest rivals AC Milan.
