Cyriel Dessers looks set to quit Genk and one likely destination would be Spanish second division club CD Leganes, where fellow Super Eagles star Kenneth Omeruo has been playing for the past four years.
The arrival of Ike Ugbo from Chelsea could now push Dessers out of his hometown club.
And the former Chelsea player Ugbo staked a serious claim in Genk first team when he came off the bench to replace Paul Onuachu and snatch the match winner against Anderlecht at the weekend.
Dessers did not even make the reserves’ bench.
Last season, Dessers played second fiddle to Goal King Onuachu and managed only five goals.
