Victor Osimhen has got off to a terrible start in the new Serie A campaign after he was sent off for a foul as early as the 23rd minute at home against newly promoted Venezia.
Osimhen was given a straight red card for shoving his marker, when it looked like it was the defender who appeared to be tugging the shirt of the Napoli striker.
It was the sixth red card on the opening day of action in Serie A.
A lot is expected of Osimhen this season after a rather difficult debut season following his record transfer from French club Lille.
Could he have been putting too much pressure on himself?
Fellow Nigeria star Tyronne Ebuehi, who played for Venezia, was also booked in this game in the 45th minute.
The Benfica loanee was replaced in the 50th minute.
However, 10-man Napoli still doubled up to win 2-0.
