Samuel Chukwueze has revealed he has hit the gym to be fit in time for next month’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.
The Villarreal winger posted on Instagram a photo of him pumping iron with the caption “We are coming back stronger”.
‘Samu’, who has had to undergo two surgeries this year, missed the recent UEFA Super Cup no thanks to a hamstring injury.
He has yet to play in the new La Liga season.
He featured for the Super Eagles in final AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho in March.
The Eagles will welcome the Lone Star of Liberia on September 3 in Lagos, before they travel to Cape Verde four days later as the second round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers gets underway.
