Vitoria Guimaraes midfielder Mikel Agu has cried out over his injury woes.
Agu, 27, has now been sidelined for four months by his latest injury setback.
“I have been very unlucky with injuries,” the midfielder told Sporting Life.
“I came back in February and as I was trying to settle into the team, I had another one, which ended my season.
“I’m still waiting on the doctors to know when I will get back on to the pitch, but I hope it’s soon because that’s the only job I have.”
Agu was limited to just 15 games last season, while he has yet to make an appearance in the new season.
He said he hopes to return in time for the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon in January.
“I pray I’m fit in time to be available for selection for the AFCON,” he said.
“It will be special because it will be my first time.”
