Will Paul Onuachu be named the Professional Footballer of the Year in Belgium Monday?
The Pro League announced the three contenders on Thursday.
Raphael Holzhauser (Beerschot), Noa Lang (Club Brugge) and Paul Onuachu (KRC Genk) will compete for the trophy.
Their nomination does not have to be a big surprise, because it are the three players who have received the most attention in recent months.
Holzhauser already finished second in the Golden Shoe election in January, then after Refaelov.
The Austrian midfielder was good for no less than 16 goals and 16 assists at Beerschot this season.
Onuachu is on his way to becoming the top scorer of the competition, scoring no less than 33 times.
Noa Lang grew into an absolute sensation at Club Brugge and can also present very nice statistics with 15 goals and nine assists.
