Gernot Rohr has again taken note of the exploits of Terem Moffi in Ligue 1 and has now spoken of the young striker’s chances in the Super Eagles.
Moffi has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season including a hat-trick on Sunday against Rohr’s former club Bordeaux.
Last month, Rohr named Moffi on standby for AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
He has now admitted that he is currently spoilt for choice for strikers who are doing well across Europe and it will not be easy to accommodate all of them at once.
“The problem is that I have a lot of top striker strikers – Osimhen, Iheanacho, Nwankwo, with Crotone in Italy, who is at 19 goals, Onuachu, amd I cannot invite five attackers,” Rohr told Ouest France.
“It is not easy to find a place.”
The Super Eagles further informed that travel restrictions caused by the Coronavirus Pandemic may also have worked against Moffi as the NFF would have had to charter a private jet at a cost of about $100,000 to fly the France-based call-ups back to their base.
