Terem Moffi posted the best performance by a Nigeria star this past week when he conjured a treble for FC Lorient to go four points clear of the relegation zone in Ligue 1 with a 4-1 thumping of closest rivals Bordeaux.

5.Samuel Adegbenro
The experienced forward scored his first goal in the Swedish league for Norrkoping to beat Halmstad 2-1 at home. His scored in the second half to draw his team level after the visitors raced into the lead after just four minutes of action. A lot more will be expected of this 25-year-old winger as the league in Sweden gathers steam.
4.Kelechi Nwakali
The former Flying Eagles skipper scored his fourth goal in his last five games, but his club Alcorcon fell 2-1 at home to CD Leganes to suck them back into relegation trouble. They are now 19th on the 22-team table with 38 points from 36 matches. They are a point away from safety.

3.Samuel Chukwueze
The tricky winger’s numbers have not been great over time, but he seems to be working on improving them. He got his fourth La Liga goal of the season in a 2-1 home loss to mighty Barcelona and again it was an effort that showed his individual brilliance. Another goal will see him match his best-ever goals return of five, which he achieved in his first season in Spain. Certainly, he will do with more goals both for club and country to underline the huge expectations around him.
2.’Simy’ Nwankwo
The big striker netted his 19th goal in Serie A after he got a brace for Crotone at Parma. Crotone won 4-3 to record a rare win as they are doomed for a quick return to Serie B. However, their Nigeria sharp shooter is not likely to go down with them, according to their coach. His numbers in the last two seasons – 20 goals in Serie B last term and 19 goals and counting this season – have been most impressive.
1.Terem Moffi
After his first Ligue 1 hat-trick against Bordeaux, it will not be out of place to say Moffi is the biggest revelation in France this season. He has now banged 14 goals to match the best record by a Nigerian set by Victor Ikpeba in the 1997/98 season. It was a record that won ‘Prince of Monaco’ Ikpeba the prestigious CAF African Footballer of the Year in 1997.
