Benin have asked CAF to allow 3,000 fans to watch tomorrow’s crunch AFCON clash against the Super Eagles inside the Charles de Gaulle Stadium in Porto-Novo.
“We are hoping for a favourable opinion on our letter requesting that we be allowed to have between 1,800 and 3,000 persons at the match,” said an official of the FBF.
The home team need to win tomorrow to guarantee their qualification to the AFCON in Cameroon.
The passionate fans will be expected to play the 12th man.
They reached the last-eight at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
In the meantime, the Super Eagles have booked into the Golden Tulip Hotel in Cotonou.
They will feel the pitch at the Charles de Gaulle Stadium in Porto-Novo later today and return to Cotonou.
