Four Super Falcons players have withdrawn from the Turkish Women’s Cup, which starts this week in Alanya.
Atletico Madrid forward Rasheedat Ajibade and Benfica midfielder Christy Ucheibe pulled out due to administrative reasons, while Paris FC goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and Sweden-based Ngozi Okobi are injured.
The Falcons under new coach Randy Waldrum will open the tournament in Turkey on Wednesday against Russian champions CSKA Moscow, who replaced Zambia.
They will then tackle Uzbekistan on Friday, before they play their final group game against fellow Africans Equatorial Guinea on February 23.
