The Flying Eagles will early this morning depart Nigeria for Morocco via Ghana with 24 players, officials told SCORENigeria
The 25th player is Gent striker Ahmed Abdullahi, 18, who will join the squad in Morocco from his base in Belgium.
Ahmed scored twice at the U20 AFCON qualifiers in May in Niger Republic.
His inclusion has caused a striker to be dropped from the party to North Africa.
The team led by coach Ladan Bosso will train in Morocco, where they will play two warm-up matches against Benin Republic and South Sudan, before they land in Egypt for the U20 AFCON.
Bosso will submit to CAF a final 21-man squad for the U20 AFCON not later than February 9, which means that four players in Morocco will be axed.
Nigeria are pitched in Group A along with host country Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique.
They will open their quest for a record eighth U20 AFCON crown on February 19 against Senegal in Cairo.
