Gent have suffered a huge financial loss of about 19 Million Euros for the past year and they may now be forced to sell Gift Orban in January to balance the books.
Premier League club Fulham are reported to be very interested in the 21-year-old striker, who himself has hinted on a transfer because he is currently not enjoying much game time.
He has spoken about Gent “trying to destroy his career” as he is no longer guaranteed a starting shirt.
Obviously, not making the big transfer in the summer has adversely affected the CAF nominee for the 2023 Young Player of the Year Award.
Still a recent slump, Transfermarkt still values Gift Orban at 20 Million Euros, but Gent would want a lot more for the player.
Gent new owner Sam Baro has already pumped money into the club and they made some good money with outgoing transfers this past summer, but they wish to be profitable while also remaining very competitive on the pitch.
