Victor Boniface could miss the opening game of the new Bundesliga season if he was found guilty of disrespecting players of VfB Stuttgart during the German Super Cup.
The Super Eagles striker is being investigated for unsportsmanlike gesture, according to the German Football Association (DFB).
“Boniface is suspected of having shown the Stuttgart players the finger when he ran past them just after the final whistle,” a spokesman told Die Tageszeitung .
He will miss Bayer Leverkusen opening game against Borussia Monchengladbach Friday should he be found guilty.
