Both Zaidu Sanusi and Innocent Bonke may be facing uncertain future at their respective clubs, but they have been listed for the money-spinning group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Zaidu may most likely suffer from limited playing time at FC Porto this season after a poor run as well as the arrival of a direct rival.
He had even sought a transfer this summer so as to enjoy regular first-team football.
Defensive midfielder Bonke, on the other hand, has yet to extend his contract at Swedish club Malmo.
His current deal will run out in December.
Incidentally, both players will fly out tomorrow to Cape Verde for the Super Eagles next World Cup qualifier.
Other players with Nigerian roots who have been listed to feature in the Champions League include Samuel Chukwueze, Arnaut Danjuma (Villarreal),Chikwubuike Adamu aka ‘Adamu Junior’ (Salzburg) and Owen Otasowie, Antonio Nusa (Club Brugge).
