Swedish club IFK Norrkoping are confident league leading scorer Samuel Adegbenro could score as many as 18 goals this season and earn a transfer to a major league.
Adegbenro has thus far scored 10 goals in the league to top of the goals chart in Sweden following his transfer from Norwegian club Rosenborg.
The club’s chief scout Stig Torbjörnsen has now backed the left winger to do more.
“Samuel does not take penalties, but if he is injury-free, I see nothing stopping him from finishing on 17,18 goals,” he told NT-Sporten.
“I would also not be surprised if there are clubs that want to buy him.
The chief scout said Adegbenro has already exceeded expectations.
“It has gone better than I dared to hope for and it is obvious you will be even happier to see how good he has been when you are behind the signing,” he said.
