It is a war of attrition between Super Eagles defender Jordan Torunarigha and his Belgian club over the player’s possible transfer this summer.
Torunarigha has made it clear he wishes to move on with a year left on his contract with KAA Gent.
Gent coach Wouter Vrancken, on the other hand, has been far from impressed with the defender’s attitude recently.
He did not list Torunarigha on the squad for a UEFA Conference League clash at Silkeborg IF of Denmark.
“It’s true that he didn’t travel for extra-sporting reasons,” the Gent coach fired.
“I want players who are fully committed to the club and want to fight for the colours. That is not the case with Jordan at the moment.”
So far, Italian club AC Monza have tabled a 3.5 Million Euros bid for the player, but that does not meet the valuation of the Belgian club.
Transfermarkt values Torunarigha at around Five Million Euros.
