The Super Eagles, who are desperate for more quality on the flanks, may well have finally lost Arnaut Danjuma to Holland after the Villarreal star received a late call-up by the Dutch.
Danjuma, 24, has been called up by coach Louis van Gaal as a late replacement for Cody Gakpo.
The Lagos-born could now make his official debut in a 2022 World Cup qualifier at home against Gibraltar tomorrow.
The left winger played his first game for the country of his mother October 2018 in a friendly against Belgium and even scored in a 1-1 draw.
He then played same month in a European Nations Cup clash against Germany, which the Dutch won 3-0.
Despite his red-hot form with Bournemouth in the English Championship and most recently with Villarreal in La Liga, Holland overlooked him that he even suggested he would consider a Super Eagles invitation.
