The Super Eagles will not train again later Monday after the morning session over stretched past noon, officials said.
The team will resume training Tuesday morning and they will be expected to train twice.
The 16 players who have reported in camp trained this morning, however, Alhassan Yusuf and Chidozie Awaziem trained separately from the group.
The newly appointed assistants of coach Finidi George were also present except for Daniel Amokachi, who was reportedly imposed on the new Super Eagles coach.
Several players like Calvin Bassey and Ademola Lookman, who featured for his Italian club Atalanta in a rescheduled Serie A match Sunday night, are still being expected.
The Super Eagles will welcome South Africa to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday in continuation of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
