Sunusi Ibrahim from MLS side Montreal Impact and nine other overseas-based players have been called up by Nigeria for an U23 AFCON qualifier against Tanzania.
Promise David of Sirens of Malta and Spain-based winger Success Makanjuola are among the call-up.
Kwara United defender Chris Nwaeze and midfielder Morice Chukwu from Rivers United will also join up with the squad after their club’s international engagements.
The U23s, predominantly made up of players from the domestic league have been training in Ibadan, will fly out to Tanzania on Wednesday ahead of their first leg qualifier at the weekend.
The return leg will be played in Ibadan on October 29.
The U23 AFCON will also serve as qualifying series for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
