Sunusi Ibrahim netted twice to help his Major League Soccer (MLS) club CF Montreal end a seven-match winless run by beating D.C. United 4-2.
Host team CF Montreal had not won since April 13 and had lost four games and drawn three games.
Sunusi scored in the 34th minute to give the home team a 2-1 lead.
He went on to score in the 74th minute to seal the victory after coming into the game as a 19 minute substitute for Jules Antony Vilsaint.
Sunusi, who has been capped by the Super Eagles, has now scored five goals in the MLS this season
