Samuel Kalu will be included on the Bordeaux squad for Sunday’s Ligue 1 match at FC Lorient after he enjoyed “normal” training this past week, officials said.
Kalu suffered a relapse of a thigh muscle strain middle of last month.
The injury caused him to miss last month’s AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
Coach Jean-Louis Gasset told a media briefing that the player is good to return.
“He did a normal week of training and he will be part of the squad,” the coach disclosed.
The 23-year-old winger has scored four goals in 18 appearances in the league in a rather challenging season during which he contacted Coronavirus and was injured on international duty.
Sunday’s clash is a relegation six-pointer as Bordeaux are only four points clear of FC Lorient, who are just a point outside the relegation zone.
