Rivers United coach Stanley Eguma has said they will be at their best in their quest to go past fellow NPFL rivals Enyimba to reach the money-spinning group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup and also help themselves to a 20 million Naira windfall from Governor Nyesom Wike.
The Port Harcourt will make the short trip to Aba Sunday in the first leg of the Confederation Cup playoffs with the return leg at home a week later.
“Only our best will see us through (against Enyimba),” said coach Eguma.
“We are up against a good and experienced side like Enyimba and we have to be at our best.”
Enyimba have won the more prestigious CAF Champions League twice and dropped to the Confederation Cup this year after they lost to Al Merriekh of Sudan in the Champions League.
They are three points clear of Rivers in the NPFL after nine rounds of matches.
Last year, both teams were locked in a row over who should represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League.
