Victor Osimhen suffered a total blackout so much so that he could not remember that he hit the back of his head on the ground when he collided with an Atalanta player Sunday.
The 22-year-old striker could not remember a thing from the incident, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
He spent a night in hospital in Bergamo with Napoli doctor by his side.
Osimhen will undergo more medical tests today in Naples to ascertain the extent of the head injury.
He has already been ruled out of Thursday’s UEFA Europa League Round of 32 second leg match against Granada.
Granada won the first leg in Spain 2-0.
It has not been a great few months for the Napoli signing – he injured his shoulder on international duty and was sidelined for over three months; he then contacted Covid-19 recklessly just as fresh controversy bubbled up when his brother told Italian media Victor is being played out by his own team.
