The pressure is most certainly on the Super Eagles now after Lesotho shot to the top of Group C of the 2026 World Cup qualifying group after a 2-0 win at hosts Zimbabwe.
Lesotho top the standings on five points from three matches after first-half goals dismantled Zimbabwe today.
Rwanda are second on four points with Benin third also on the same points, but with an inferior goals’ difference.
South Africa are fourth with three points as Nigeria have now dropped to second from bottom on two points.
The Super Eagles are therefore further condemned to beat South Africa to get their World Cup qualifying campaign back on track after two laboured draws in November.
