Plateau United today stayed top of the NPFL table after they held Nasarawa United to a 1-1 draw in Lafia, while Lobi Stars and Wikki Stars won at home to close in on the leaders.
Plateau United now have 10 points from four matches.
Lobi Stars swept past Heartland 3-0, while Wikki Tourists stopped Delta Force 3-1.
Both teams have recorded nine points apiece, a point behind the table toppers.
The woes of troubled Kano Pillars continued after they fell by the odd goal at local rivals Jigawa Golden Stars, who have now moved clear of the league basement.
