Paul Omo Mukairu scored his second goal of the season, but it was not enough for Antalyaspor to beat Turkish giants Besikas at home tonight.
The little known Nigerian striker started the home game and after Besiktas had raced to a two-goal lead in the first half, Mukairu halved the deficit seven minutes inside the second half.
The exciting 19-year-old striker has been involved in all 10 league games involving Antalyaspor in his breakthrough season in Turkey.
His first goal was in August in a battling 2-2 draw at Konyaspor.
Like was the case at Sivaspor last week, Mukairu played the entire 90 minutes tonight.
The Abuja-born striker has caught the eye in Turkey because of his displays and versatility as he could play on the wings and also lead the strike force.
Former African Footballer of the Year Emmanuel Adebayor recently saluted the youngster widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the Super Lig.
