Victor Osimhen is still adamant he wishes to quit Napoli this summer, while for the Italian club their main priority is to sign another striker, Romelu Lukaku.
This is according to Top Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano on his social media channels.
Romano reported that the Super Eagles striker has given the green light for a transfer to PSG almost three weeks ago, but unfortunately discussions between Napoli and the Ligue 1 champions are now at a standstill for over 10 days.
In the meantime, Osimhen has been brought into the discussions between Napoli and Chelsea over the signing of Lukaku.
A proposal for Osimhen to go on loan to Chelsea is out of the window because that would mean that he will have to take a massive pay cut, which he won’t.
Romano said Osimhen’s annual salary at Napoli is now in excess of 11 Million Euros and Napoli will not pay him while he is out on loan at another club.
For Napoli new coach Antonio Conte, his main transfer target is Lukaku.
Player and coach have already won Scudetto at Inter Milan.
Napoli “strongly” want to sign Lukaku and have tabled a three-year contract for him.
It is therefore crucial that a solution is found as soon as possible for Osimhen.
