Victor Osimhen could be another major injury concern for Super Eagles new coach Finidi George leading up to crunch 2026 World Cup qualifiers next month.
Finidi will already have to do without Moses Simon, Tyrone Ebuehi, Bruno Onyemaechi and Zaidu Sanusi for next month’s games against South Africa and Benin.
AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze is now a huge doubt for the World Cup qualifiers on account of a hamstring injury.
Napoli have now disclosed that Osimhen did not participate in team training Monday.
The report said that Osimhen only went through recovery work for a muscle injury which means he could be a doubt for the game against Fiorentina with two matches to go to the end of the Serie A season.
On a brighter note for the new coach is that stand-in captain William Ekong has now recovered from a thigh injury and he is line to return in time for the World Cup qualifiers.
