Chelsea striker Ike Ugbo, who is seen as a direct replacement for Goal King Paul Onuachu, will complete his long-awaited transfer to Genk this week, according to media reports.
Genk are desperate to sign another striker as a cover for Onuachu, who could still make his big transfer this summer.
Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers is also at Genk and scored in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League ouster.
They have previously seen three bids for Ugbo rejected by Chelsea.
But according to Het Nieuwsblad, Genk have now offered 3.5 Million Euros and that does not include bonuses and other add-ons.
Ugbo, who was born in England to Nigerian parents, shone on loan last season at another Belgian club, Cercle Brugge.
He netted 17 goals to ensure to stayed clear of relegation.
