Finidi George has signed a two-year contract as coach of NPFL club Rivers United.
The former Super Eagles coach will be presented to the media tomorrow by 2pm local time in Port Harcourt, Rivers United announced.
He previously handled another NPFL side, Enyimba, leading them to their ninth championship last year.
Finidi, 53, has replaced Stanley Eguma, who was in charge of ‘The Pride of Rivers’ for over 16 years.
He quit as Super Eagles coach last month 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin saw Nigeria drop to second from bottom in Group C of the qualifying series.
Rivers United finished a disappointing eighth this past season.
