The NPFL Player of Week 8 is highly promising youngster Seiyefa Jackson of Rivers United.
The 17-year-old centre forward came off the bench to score the all-important match winner at Niger Tornadoes for Rivers United to return to the summit of the Nigerian top league.
It’s his second goal of the new season after he hit target in a 2-0 home win over Enyimba last month.
Earlier this year, Jackson, who is blessed with a good close control and balance, emerged top scorer of the NPFL U17 Youth League in Benin City.
That feat earned him a call-up to the Golden Eaglets.
He then made a goal-scoring NPFL debut for Rivers United in May against Sporting Lagos as the Port Harcourt outfit ran away comfortable 4-1 winners at home.
In June, the Rivers United No 38 grabbed a brace against already relegated Gombe United in a 6-0 drubbing.
