Enyimba striker Chijioke Mbaoma leads the goals chart with 16 goals, a goal ahead of Sikiru Alimi of Remo Stars.
Albert Hilary (Plateau United) and Adukwu Jonathan (Sporting Lagos) are tied on 12 goals each, while Godwin Obaje (Enugu Rangers) and Bashir Usman (Niger Tornadoes) have 11 goals apiece going into the final game of the season Sunday.
Last season, it was another Enyimba striker, Emeka Obioma, who won the Eunisell Boot when he scored 16 goals and was rewarded with a cash prize of 3.2 Million Naira at 200,000 Naira a goal.
Mbaoma could now hope to earn more cash should he add to his tally at home against Plateau United tomorrow and extend a decent run by Enyimba players in the goals race.
Previous Eunisell Boot winners include Mfon Udoh, Sunusi Ibrahim, Junior Lokosa, Israel Abia, Chukwuma Akuneto and Silas Nwankwo.
