Sports Minister John Enoh today handed an ultimatum to the NFF to restructure the technical crew of the Super Eagles, the technical department as well as the technical committee.
This followed a four-hour meeting in Abuja between the minister, the NFF delegation led by president Ibrahim Gusau as well as Super Eagles coach Finidi George.
This was the aftermath of a laboured 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign by the Super Eagles.
The Super Eagles were held at home to a 1-1 draw by South Africa, before they were upset 2-1 by Benin.
They are now second from bottom in Group C with three points from four matches, four points adrift of front runners Rwanda, South Africa and Benin.
SCORENigeria gathered that the minister ordered immediate action from the NFF.
The qualifying tournament for the 2025 AFCON will kick off in September.
Coach Finidi George is not the problem of Nigerian football.
The entire football house must be restructured for our game to scale up.
They need a sound technical manager that can design a good template for football development not qualifying for tournament
