New Napoli coach Antonio Conte has spoken on the transfer situation of striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen has said he wishes to quit the Italian club this summer and Napoli are open to his departure.
However, Napoli are yet to receive a formal bid for the player.
Conte said Osimhen’s situation has not changed, but he expects the striker to continue to work hard for the team as long as he remains with them.
Conte said: “I spoke to Victor and there are no changes on his situation. He’s a top player.
“He’s Napoli player today so he needs to work hard, even if we’ve an agreement [for his potential exit] and still we don’t know the outcome of this story.”
Conte previously said he has accepted the decision for the 25-year-old striker to move on.
Osimhen has a contract with Napoli until June 2026.
His release clause is put at around 130 Million Euros, while Transfermarkt values him at 100 Million Euros.
