Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti has insisted Victor Osimhen will have to be assessed to ascertain his match fitness before he will be selected for tomorrow’s Serie A clash against Juventus.
This assessment is after the striker from international duty during which he scored a goal against home team in Cape Verde.
“From the international matches, some problems arise for the clubs. We are yet to evaluate Osimhen to make our decisions,” Spalletti said at today’s press conference.
The Napoli coach said he has the support of the club president in this respect.
Osimhen’s ban for a red card on opening day action against promoted Venezia was reduced to a game and that will allow him to play against Juventus.
The striker will also need a special visa to enter England for Thursday’s UEFA Europa League game against Leicester City after he visited red-listed Cape Verde recently.
