Coach Manu Garba has tasked the Golden Eaglets to go for goals against Togo tomorrow to secure their place in the knockout rounds of the WAFU B U17 AFCON in Ghana.
Kick-off of the final Group B match will be 5pm in Nigeria.
The Golden Eaglets have only managed a goal in two Group B matches at the qualifying tournament for next year’s U17 AFCON.
Manu has now insisted his team have to start putting away the many chances they have created at this tournament.
“We ought to have scored at least three goals against Niger,” said the Eaglets coach.
“We have been training on scoring goals and we hope they will convert their chances against Togo.”
Nigeria will in addition be expected to use to their advantage their bigger physical size against their Togolese counterparts.
Burkina Faso lead Group B with four points and a better goals difference than Nigeria, who have also recorded four points.
Niger are third on three points, while Togo have already been eliminated after they lost their first two matches.
